Disappointing departure from book

If you haven't read the book, then the film is good for its type; a fantasy action for all ages. For readers and fans of the Chronicles of Narnia book series, this film is a sad disappointment.
Unnecessary, depressing sequences were created, the characters were darker and more negative and there was too much artistic/poetic licence was taken for my liking; Caspian’s age, the Caspian/Susan interest, Susan in battle, and the Peter/Caspian fights.
The special effects were great and the action tense but in the end the adaptation was too loose and unfaithful to CS Lewis’ book.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
