I would say the movie is visually stunning and creative. The down side to the movie is that it's really rushed. It's like there is a 4 hour movie here that got squeezed to 1hour 50mins and the way they did it was by cutting out all of the character building. Alice was a curious girl. "Curiouser and curiouser" is what she said once in the movie but she went through this wonderland not asking or wondering about anything. So many wonderful characters in this film but you never learn a thing about them and she doesn't ask. I hope the blue ray comes out with an extra 1 hour of footage added for character building alone.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
