I've seen pretty much every comic book adaptation into a "major" motion picture. This has to be most well execute from a depth, mood, character development perspective. The best analogy I could use for friends regarding Heath Ledgers performance as the Joker was Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs. It was a villain performance that was so complex, intense and articulate that it sticks with you for days afterward. The screenplay was amazing...story arc, dialogue, pace, etc.... at a quality and polish rarely found in comic book adaptations.
