This was a great family movie.
The characters were developed very well, the story was very strong, and the voice acting was near perfect.
I usually avoid sequels, being that they tend to be mere shadows of the originals, but this movie breaks that mold. Frankly, I found it, overall, a better movie than the original.
More action, more character, better story development.
Go see this movie.

Well Done

This movie has something for everyone.
As a Trekker, I found the movie premise very 'Trek', and done very well. The cast and crew were able to present a new angle on the story while keeping an eye on canon Trek. All in all a solid Trek movie.
And for all the other fans (my 10 year old son), it is a great sci-fi shoot em up. Lots of action, lots of character. A solid, old school, space flick. He thought it was one of the best movies he had ever seen.
Job well done.

Solid Kid Flick

I took my 9 year old son and his friend to see this and we all had a great time. I was a little worried that the language was going to be over the top, being a Seth Rogan film, but it wasn't at all. The story was formulaic, and the plot couldn't be more obvious, but it was really funny and done well. By the way, the scene of the kids trying to learn how to take a punch was roll on the floor funny.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
