The first J.J. Abrams reboot of Star Trek was so amazingly well done and entertaining, I was afraid Into Darkness would not be that great. Well there’s nothing to fear in this Sequel with its non-stop action and first rate story telling. Trek 2009 masterfully told the back story of Kirk and Spock. This time around, we see their friendship firmly solidify as they face life and death. There are a few great surprises in the story that I won’t divulge. Look out for some characters that have appeared before in the Star Trek catalogue. There’s a lot packed into this two hour epic tale. It was truly entertaining and exciting – A perfect Summer Flick! Rarely does a sequel outshine the original; Star Trek Into Darkness is the exception.
