Visually stunning - plot predictable

Visually revolutionary, groundbreaking, breathtaking ... all that has been said and more. The story and characters are all extremely 1D (and more than a tad patronizing); but that's not really why we're all going, is it? This has set a new bar, as well as opened the door to whole new worlds of movie-making with visuals that are not only stunning, but incredibly realistic and believable. After the first minute, you totally accept that there are huge blue catpeople on this gorgeous planet. This has changed the way we look at and perceive "reality" on-screen. Just go and swim in the beauty. It's worth it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
