La Mission provides a unique window to San Francisco's long establish Latino community, low rider culture, and an interesting perspective of the intersection between the San Francisco's Latino and LGBT community. Benjamin Bratt gives a powerful performance of a single father whose machismo is constantly questioned by his gay son and others who surround him. It is one of the best films in recent times with a Latino plot and cast.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
