What a true disgrace to the original GH. Bad acting, bad dialogue. The special effects were the only part of the movie worth seeing. Jay Chou's accent was so thick, only every 10th word was discernable. Seth Rogan portrayed the main character like he's a Will Ferrel wannabe. He's not even good eye-candy.
Save your money, wait until it's released on Netflix.
Star Trek XI, never thought I'd see that happen. The good: Lots and lots of action. The bad: Lots and lots of action. Still a lot of unanswered questions.
When JT first arrives at the shipyard, we see a ship being built on the planet. How’d they launch the damned thing then?
The "love" tryst between Spock and Uhura....WOW! Nice twist. Never in a million years saw that coming. Bones was superb, great sarcasm. Chekov, the accent was way overplayed.
Sulu...John Cho, great choice, a fine actor. I first caught him in the role of a ghost on "Charmed". Scotty's accent could use some thinning. It's not perfect, but it's quite close. Out of 5 stars possible, I'd compute the rating to be 4.9975.
Fantastic performance by all actors! Heath Ledger should get an Oscar. Very dark and sadistic but that was a necessary requirement to get the plots across to the viewer. That being that there are some people in the world that with one bad turn of events, can turn evil on a dime.
Over budgeted, over rated, over tired revision of Harrison Ford's role of once favorite adventurer, Indiana Jones. Harrison is really showing his age and so is Karen Allen. The poorly written story line is atypical and predictable. I noticed in the wedding scene, that Harrison didn't appear to be kissing Karen Allen back at all. I wonder if his squeeze, Felicity, was on the set during that scene. Hmmm... No Marcus, no Henry Jones Sr., no Sala (John Rhys-Davies). Way to much dialogue from the Russian d y k e, of course she dies, all the Russian's die. Save your money, wait until it's out on DVD.
