Why Not to See Avatar 3D

If you are expecting a Blade Runner like sci-fi experience, go see something else.
Because, while all things visual are groundbreaking and amazing, the plot is as mundane as Cambell's tomato and grilled cheese. Just another predictable anti-war film preaching: respect the natives because...mother earth defeats the mechanized hordes.
That said it delivers what I want in a sci-fi special effects movie: Pretty things to look at, great explosions, blood, death, war, sexy aliens, nifty tech and all the bells and whistles of a perfectly animated 3D extravaganza.
Again though, this movie is, and never will be a "classic." This is just one of the first, of what will be many beautiful 3D films.
