Sandra Bullock does it again! In The Proposal, Bullock reverses typical romantic comedy gender roles and plays a hard nosed boss that frightens even the toughest of men. Ryan Reynolds plays her cowering executive assistant who has aspirations of one day being a book editor himself.
In only the way Sandra Bullock can pull off, she manages to be both terrifying and irresistible. Bullock and Reynolds have real chemistry that takes the predictability of a romantic comedy and still makes you care what happens to their characters.
Betty White and Mary Steenburgen lend great comedic timing to add to the hilarity that ensues once the 'lovebirds" arrive in Alaska at Reynolds family home.
A must see/must own romantic comedy!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
