Excellent Ride!

Definitely see this in IMAX! At some points, I could feel the vibration from the sound under my feet. The actors did a good job of channeling the essence of their characters: Kirk's dramatic pauses, Spock's eyebrow raises, etc. The action was amazing and it was truly made by someone who loves & respects the series -- but is willing to take chances. I would expect nothing less from J.J. Abrams! Some others noted the inaccuracies such as the fate of Spock's family members & Captain Pike. Without giving too much away to those who have not seen it, I think we have to remember the circumstances under which the action takes place. Things are not always how they really should be -- which adds to the mystique of the film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
