A new type of war film

The hurt locker has given the 'war movie' a new face, tone and imprint. The stark difference in setting from movies that are set in Vietnam or WW II. The Hurt Locker gives the audience an understanding of the differences between what perceived combat was like in other wars compared to the urban setting in Iraq. Jeremy Renner is masterful in his performance. The cowboy who never shows feelings in front of colleagues is the modern military man.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
