The movie is depressingly realistic. Deep message, meaningful story, crisp dialogue and excellent acting. Camera work and sound track are superior and well thought out.

Pretty good for a book adaptation

Considering this is a book adaptation, the movie is very good. It is not entirely true to the book, but the interpretation is very interesting and not unreasonable. The movie is quite complimentary to the Catholic Church but without undue propaganda. The choice of actors is right on.
