Tis new entry into the Star Trek series provides a great link o all of it's predecessors through the story line. It does more to tie you to the orginal history of the federation, while providing more additional back story to the origins and history of the original crew.
The visual imagery of the movie is fantastic, but the only problem with it is the somewhat improbable survival of the most horrific destruction at the end. But that seems to be the hallmark of a J.J. Abrams movie -- destroy everything, and somehow only the heroes remain standing.
Other than that, This moview should stand as one of the classics.
This movie a great prequel for the original Oz, with so many of the original qualities of the original, including the Black and White styling.
The acting is average, and the plot is somewhat predictable, but overall, the movie is a lot of fun, and would be great for kids.
I would strongly suggest seeing this movie in 3D IMAX, where the effects are most profound.
Pros well paced
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This was another in the great series of the Die Hard movies. There was less of the McClean vs. the terrorist in this movie, and more of it just being a spy thriller in the genre of covert affairs. On the whole, I found this move a lot more interesting and a lot more exciting than Skyfall -- one of the truly worst snoozers in the James Bond series.
Pros well paced, lots of wrecked cars
Cons too complex, ridiculous destruction
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Overall, this was a good movie, with many great visuals, good action, and reasonable plot. However, it did drag in a few places, and the ending was somewhat less than satisfactory.
You must stay until after the credits to see the tiny vignette at the end.
