Just a comment to those who take Stein to task for referencing a bridge between Darwinism and Nazism, his point is well taken. The theory of Social Darwinism expounded by Herbert Spencer derived, rightly or wrongly, from Darwin's "survival of the fittest" construct. Spencer's elitist philosophy held that not only does "might make right;" but it also commands moral and ethical dominance. The roots of the "Master Race" are not difficult to discern. Today's extremist environmental fringe (not the vast majority of environmentally concerned who believe that we have a responsibility to be good stewards of the world God gave us) have likewise pursued a Social Darwinian design which holds that because something is natural or exists in nature, it is a moral paradigm for us to follow.
