I don't know why the critics panned this movie. If you want to laugh, smile, and have fun go see this movie. Is it the best produced movie I've ever seen no.
Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried have great voices, Amanda lights up the screen with energy and a great smile.
Go and have fun, enjoy this movie for what it is, a light hearted joyful show. Fun music, fun story and great music.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
