Very Entertaining and the actors all did a great job, but it is not what Old Sherlock is about. This is a new direction but a very good modernization of what audiences today expect. Go see it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Old Story--Great Visuals

The prize in this movie is the phenomenal graphics and 3-D imagery. the story is just a remake of the big, mean mining company taking away the land from the Apaches with there connection to Mother Earth. The bad guy goes native and falls for the Native (Nav'i) Princess and switches sides. Ho-hum. It is done well but there is not an ounce of creativity to the story line.
Go to see the magic. It is incredible and the time did fly by. The visuals are so incredible it almost makes up for the lack of an original story.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Drags on and on and on and on

An hour in, where is the werewolf? The movie took way too long to establish the teenage angst over Edward leaving. Just not interesting. The second half was better but still not very good. The girls have to love Jacob, Sam and his crew running around with no shirts all the time, but it did nothing for adults. Just a pretty boring movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Classically Great

This version of A Christmas Carole adheres closely to the Dickens version with great graphics and superior effects. We saw it with our 11 year old daughter and her friend (2nd time for the friend) and we all loved it. A great story with incredible visuals and Jim Carrey does Scrooge as well as anyone ever has. A bit scary as always for kids under 6 though.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Very Well Done

There is a lot more to this movie than to the extremely short illustrated book. The beginning establishes Max character very well so that the watchers can easily follow the characters on the island. My 11 yearold and her friend enjoyed the movie and when we discussed it on the way home--shock!-they actually got who the wild things represented from Max's real life and Max's own personality traits.
The movie is entertaining, Max playing Max is outstanding and James Gandolfini couldn't have been cast more perfectly or performed any better. Kids and parents will love it and it will give you something to talk about. Behavior modification could start here.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
