Very disappointed. Johnny Depp... expected more with a name like that leading the cast. NOT a movie for children. Language not appropriate for children at all. Dialog above their heads unless you have a very intelligent child who speaks like an adult.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

CUTE! CUTE! CUTE!!! What a fun movie! It is definitely a girlie movie. Go see it with your best friend. I took an 8 year old and she enjoyed it almost as much as me. I would have loved to have had my best friends with me when seeing it. I'll definitely buy it when it comes out on DVD and will watch it with them as soon as possible. Go see it. You won't be disappointed.

Great date movie! Being in my 50's I especially enjoyed the movie as it shows life after 30 so to speak. I would recommend this movie for anyone.

Good movie. I took two children under the age of 5. They had a difficult time sitting through the movie as it moves slowly during the middle. In my opinion, it's more for children of first grade and above. To use one of their descriptions," It's about a rat." The premise of the movie is over their heads.

Very good movie, humorous as well as emotional. I was not prepared for the ending since I had not read the book or seen any trailer that would have led me to believe the death of a pet was involved. Excellent movie to show the power of a pet on the life of a person/couple/family. Might be difficult for a young child to view.

I loved this movie! The storyline takes you through all aspects of emotion. It holds your attention throughout the entire movie. Although it is slow periodically, it is not enough to let you get up to take a restroom break. The photography of the Australian outback is extroidinary. I recommend everyone to see it.
