Fun, engaging, thoughtful, fast, a really good ride. With a satisfying ending, the premise taps into one of our weakest characteristics, love of the easy way. Cheers!

Yes, formulaic. Yes, the five rating is for its genre. Yes, it's well acted. Yes, the effects are top notch. Yes, large issues well played. It's war after all.

So it's true, the feel and thoughts of the 50's can be oh so relevant today. Loved the hats!
The excellent pace combined with humor and pathos make for a positively tense and fulfilling movie experience.

Unrelenting

Kudos for sustained tension. It just keeps coming. So, mate, this was what I hoped for and it delivered. Visually stunning, there was just enough story to forget the unlikely details. Glad I went!

If ever gratitude were called for, this film reinforces our understanding of humans' potential for resilience in the face of torturous conditions. There are bits to criticize, such as the ending and history review. Why bother? It is a robust, inventive, and heartfelt tale woven from truth.

They nailed Lowell with its deep rhythms and American potential. The ensemble cast is evenly marvelous. To see and hear the brothers during the credits is a huge treat. Be ready for an intense and uplifting film.

While I quite liked Rush's Aussie speech therapist character and it was all well played, I knew the story. While this is not usually off-putting, somehow it was for me for this strong film.

The attention to detail is extraordinary, drawing this viewer's attention and focus. Not one to see movies a second time, I will for this one. Might have missed a few lines here and there. Even the horses were magnificently portrayed. Read other reviews and...

You know... What exactly did viewers expect?? !! This movie is precisely what it's marketed to be. While I won't give it a grade because I really don't know how that's done, the tension was there throughout. The only thing unexpected was the silly ending, but no matter. Plus, the effects were great fun.
