Funny, serious and true to life.

While this isn't a Dirty Harry character Eastwood plays, he plays the mean old man that wants you to stay out of his yard and be left alone very well. After breaking up a conflict between local Asian Gang and neighbor boy Clint’s character changes and takes the fatherless boy under his wing and helps mentor him in his own image. The movie comes to a head when the sister of the boy is pushed out of the car in front of her house, apparently beaten by their cousin's gang members. Eastwood finds away to resolve the battle that is different from any Dirty Harry movie. Not his best, but still good. Well worth seeing!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Ron Howard movie, need I say more?

Ron Howard brings this unfortunate event back to life in its 70's feel, restirring my memories of this event. Frank Langella does a great job recreating Nixon down to even sound somewhat like him. The last few minutes of the Frost and Nixon interview was so intense you could have heard a pin drop in the theater!
Even though I thought, how could you make this event into a movie and pull it off, Ron Howard brings it to life and made it worth seeing. Go see it. Kudo's to Ron Howard.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great overall acting!!!

Fire and brimstone acting are brought to the screen in this intense but too true storyline. Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman are excellent. Amy Adams plays a great supporting role with her innocence and denial of a boy who is allegedly violated by the new Priest. Doubt, denial -did it really happen or not? You be the judge!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Four Christmases

I was on the borderline with this one. If you are fans of the two main actor's in this movie, like the humorous and struggles side of Christmas with getting together with broken family’s you will like this movie. I on the other hand, found this movie somewhat funny, lighthearted but mostly average at best. I kept saying to myself, this story line seems like it has been done before. A Note - sadden to see Robert Duvall’s health not looking good.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

"To sum it up in just a few words, you must see this great movie! Best overall movie since the Lord of the Rings! Just about every human emotion will be experienced in this movie. If you come of this movie not liking it, you are already dead!!!"
