Good, but not overwhelmingly

Yes, this is definitely a Tim Burton movie. The story line was good: Alice returns to Wonderland to slay a Dragon and return the White Queen to power. Some things in the movie were definitely done for the 3-D effect, and some were just distracting. The best performance was put in by CGI art in the form of the March Hare. It was entertainment, but unfortunately Avatar has raised the bar so high for 3-D and special effects that this one fell a little flat. It could have just been a movie...without the 3-D. It's not your childhood Alice, a bit dark.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
