Disjointed and Disappointing

I absolutely LOVED the book so of course I had to see the movie. I knew they couldn't include everything but the movie lacked feeling and depth. It was too disjointed and I didn't really connect with Liz's emotional, physical and spiritual journey on screen as I did in the book.
Liz Gilbert is such a wonderful writer with a great wit and it just didn't translate well on screen. The acting was fine, the scenery beautiful and Javier Badem is always yummy but you would be better off reading the book and waiting for the movie to come on HBO.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
