Well most probably know that this movie was pushed back several times due to various reasons. Although we had to wait well over a year to finally see it, it was SO worth the wait! The cast of actors fit the characters perfectly, and they all had great on-screen chemistry. Most of all the film was action-packed from beginning to end! My friends and I really enjoyed this movie night! To give you an idea it's kind of like "Bad Boys" meets "Set If Off". Great story, great film!
The acting, cinematography, and story concept are all great. This is definitely an original. However, I was not blown away as much as I was expecting to be, especially with all of the hype I kept hearing. Maybe my expectations were too high. There were definitely some "Matrix" elements, and some really cool effects that make this worth seeing. But some of the layering just got to be too much for me, and when you see it you'll know what I'm talking about. It was well written and acted.
Well these keep getting better, and the 3D effects definitely made it awesome! No matter what you're expectations are you'll feel like this was at least worth the watch in 3D. Some things were a little sketchy as far as the story, but that is easily overlooked. This is a visually stunning, action-packed, brilliant film.
Salt is full of action and suspense! Angelina Jolie is smoking hot in this role, and she does action justice! I've seen it twice already and enjoyed it just as much the second time. The twists and turns will have you wondering who is trustworthy, and the kick-a** action will have you saying stuff out loud and on the edge of your seat!
More action, more intense, more heat! Great third installment, you will be entertained. True Blood for teenagers, but still lots of fun to watch and experience the audience participation. Can't wait for the next one!
The movie was great, a different role for Tom Cruise. Surprisingly very funny and full of action. If anyone says differently they just still have some residual contempt for Tom Cruise. I would recommend it. You will be surprised how good it is.
While IM2 was shiny and cool, at times it was underwhelmed with too many characters and gaps of drama cinema. I was expecting an overload of action, and instead I got an incoherent story torn between old love, a new crush, a brush with death, and some bad blood between fathers & sons. Although I love Samuel L. Jackson his part was unnecessary. Scarlett Johansson was SO hot!! Maybe the new Wonder Woman?? I enjoyed Sam Rockwell's character the best, hands down. Mickey Rourke & Don Cheadle were forgettable. When there was action it was on point and riveting, but there were too many slow gaps which actually makes this not a must see in the theater. However, most of America was pulled into the hype.
While this remake had its moments of uniqueness there was too much left to be desired substance-wise. Jackie Earle Haley was a poor choice for Freddy. He lacked the charisma of Robert Englund, and while the effects on his voice were cool, oddly I often felt his voice was not deep enough. Every attempt this movie made failed. My three stars are for a good try and for the opening scene. It starts out promising but flops by the end. While they gave you flashbacks and background, I almost felt Freddy as the demon melted into the background while shiny, pretty, young people glossed in the forefront. Michael Bay did "Friday the 13th" justice in that remake, but this attempt really disappointed me. What made this movie bad for me wasn't the story, but just the Freddy character. This guy just didn't have it. Take away the sound effects and there would be nothing; his portrayal had no intensity whatsoever. Notable highlights are the music and sound effects.
The movie started a little slow, but eventually delivered big time. Who knew a funeral could be so hysterically funny! Definitely a creative twist and concept for a movie. I must say though that I was VERY surprised to not be getting any comedy from Martin & Chris. They were by no means the stars of this film, but I'm sure that was intentional. Tracy Morgan, Danny Glover & Loretta Devine stole the show. I just don't know what's up with Martin & Chris not being funny anymore. I guess they've evolved; errr umm... But the movie is worth it. A great laugh!!
This movie was really entertaining although I was reluctant to see it by a friend's suggestion. I enjoyed it. One of the best zombie, infested, everybody's gone mad type movies I've ever watched.
