I understand book to movie editing but they more or less kep the character names and threw the books out the window. F/X were impressive and seeing some of the creatures was great. The story was, sadly, left behind.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I realize and usually have fun with the suspentsion of believe for watching movies. But this movie doesn't ask you to suspend believe - it asks you to be brain dead. There were far too many times when the main and supporting characters should have been dead or at least injured. I went against my better judgment and went to this movie knowing it was going to be unbelieveable and should have listened. waste of time.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Better than Phoenix

I didn’t like that Ron/Lavendar stole Harry/Ginny’s kiss scene. I especially liked the scene when Harry gets the memory from Slughorn. Tom Felton/Draco was FABULOUS! ‘Bout time that boy got some serous screen time. I LOVED the joke shop.
The part that completely irritated me was after Dumbledore died. Snape and Co. just walked out the front door and NOBODY tries to stop them? The “battle” was completely gone! WTF?! I’m beginning to get the impression that WB/Yates doesn’t want to show the “kids” fighting. They didn’t fight near as much as they should have in PHOENIX and they didn’t fight at all in this one. They need to get over that real quick or DEATHLY HALLOWS is going to suck.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A lot of movies tend to falter in a sequal. Especially with a series like this; based on childhood classics.
This one only got better. You fall in love with the Pevansie children again and are awed by WETA's talent.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
