Movie stuck pretty close to the first half of the book. I was not expecting that. Some scary scenes where the snake was involved. A friend who was seeing the movie with me got some good scares.
All in all, an excellent movie with great action sequences and an excellent script. Well done!!!

Great movie! Really enjoyed seeing the beginnings of Logan's life. Loved that Professor Xavier came to pick up the kids. It was a great tie in to the other movies. I'd like to see the Origins story for all the X-Men. That would be interesting.

Great if you've NEVER seen Star Trek

I'm a hard core Trekker. The movie changed EVERYTHING about Star Trek. Had I NEVER seen any Star Trek I would have loved the movie. The special effects were amazing. The script was well written. The characters were loveable or hatable as the case may be. However, if you're an old time Trekker like me - well the movie just isn't for you. They actually changed the entire universe. For God's sake they killed Amanda and destroyed the planet Vulcan. They killed Kirk's father just when he was born. NO! So my advice, if you are an old time Trekker like me - don't go see it.
If you want something interesting to watch and don't care that they created an alternate timeline - well go see it and enjoy it for what it is.

Not like the original ...

Ok. For those of you who remember the original ... it's good on it's own merits. It's nothing like the original. For those who have never seen the original movie, go see it. The special effects are really good. Keannu Reeves famous dead-pan look is perfect for the alien in the movie.

Excellent work. I loved the interplay between the characters. Much more interplay than in the first Hellboy. More stuff for Abe Sapien to do in the movie too. I really loved it.

Great movie. Special effects aside, decent storyline. The movie doesn't have to rely on the effects to carry it.
