As the third generation of Trekkies, I had to go see this movie. I went on Mother's Day with my Mom, Grandmother, and husband. It was such a thrill for all of us to see as my grandmother put it, 'all of our old heroes young again.'
They did such a good job of retelling the story and pulling in all of the characters in a way that wasn't just repeating the old storyline.
The acting was excellent. The effects were amazing.
All in all, this was a very well put together movie. I will gladly go see it again.
Only one problem-- if you are going to see it in IMAX, get there early!!!!! We got there just as the movie was starting and from the second row, we saw every pore on James T. Kirk's face.
