Much different than I expected... I read that they delayed the movie to make cut 12 minutes of the biggest fight scene in order to give it a more "reunion with his family"... well they blew it. Brad Pitt character acts like an almost defenseless commoner than a tough ex UN war fighter (which he supposed to be). Even my wife, who is a fan of Pitt, agrees and goes further about how "weak" he acts in this movie.
The only truly innovative thing about the movie is the infected people, the zombies... the movie industry finally realized that fresh dead zombies would be able to go into a never tiring track star and do so like a starved rabid animal let loose on succulent live stock! I said this about zombie seen in movies over the years and always wondered why the directors never had the vision to make "fresh dead" zombies run and move very fast but they could use all their other senses very well, like smell.... anyway a huge let down, they should have never cut the huge 12 minute fight scene for the chic flick BS ending. I only hope that they include the cut fight scene in the DVD release.

Pros innovative take on zombies
Cons slow, brad pitt has no life to him as if he didn't care, brad pitt's charater is a weakling almost helpless
