Excellent metaphor for today

Replete with references to the Patriot Act, Iraq War, terrorist homicide videos and the problem of defeating an enemy whose only aim is to create chaos; The Dark Knight aims to prove that lying to the masses is sometimes a good thing. Heath Ledger is incredible, the music and visual effects are excellent and the moral/ethical conundrums faced by the good guys are plentiful. The Dark Knight is truly dark, and leaves the audience with a better understanding of what it takes to truly defeat pure evil.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
