Although we both thought that the acting of Robert Downey Jr and Jamie Foxx was excellent, we were very disappointed with the movie. The story is great and yes, it is important to highlight the plight of the mentally ill and homeless population of our society, but if you are looking for an enjoyable evening, The Soloist is not it. The film was too slow and had several parts that were just fillers that added nothing to the movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

WOW! What a movie!

This is the movie of the year. Well written, filmed and directed. The story is incredible and is filled with action, suspense and romance. We loved the music as well. If you go to one movie this year, Slumdog Millionaire is the one. Enjoy!
