Iron Man 2 = Rock Solid

Robert Downey, Jr. does it again - another awesome performance as Tony Stark. The supporting cast is excellent and I loved how one really doesn't know if Scarlett Johannson's character is good or evil for a while, and what about Dr. Nick Fury - is he good or bad-one doesn't know for a while. Mickey Rourke is an odd villain, but pulls it off, I think.
But, my favorite is RD,Jr. His sarcasm is spot on and Don Cheadle did a great job as the 'sidekick."
This was a great movie to kick off the summer!

Date Night = FUN Night

This movie is by far the funniest of 2010 to date!
It not only offers physical humor & wit, it offers love, friendship, trust and adventure.
All long time married couples with children should be able to relate to this movie and should be able to take something home from it.
Everyone should see this movie and benefit from it's humorous, yet well conceived message!

Excellent Visual Effects!

The visual effects were absolutely amazing-two thumbs up to Mr. Cameron! The CGI effects were extremely well done too. I was amazed at how lifelike the avatars were.
Although the storyline was okay, there were enough visuals and actions to keep me engrossed and entertained in the movie for the more than 2.5 hours that it ran. I would recommend seeing this film as early as possible in the day so that the whole afternoon/evening is not filled with a movie.

Transformers - blockbuster of the summer?

Overall, Transformers 2 had a good storyline, good special f/x and good acting by all actors. It was a little long and some of the fight scenes between the autobots and the decepticons were a little too long. Michael Bay has another well produced movie on his hands and it will be one of the big blockbusters this summer.

Star Trek - Awesome

Having grown up with the original Star Trek series and subsequent movies, I was skeptical at first about this one.
I absolutely loved the character development, the relationship development and the character histories. Although (spoiler alert!) it appears to be an alternate character history, it really does help understand Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scottie, Sulu, Chekov and Uhuru better. I would recommend this for both old and new Star Trek fans. This is a great movie to kick off the summer season!

Slumdog - Best Picture I've seen all year!

What an uplifting story about family, friendship, loyalty, forgiveness, trust, truth and love! I was initially hesitant to see this film, but I was wrong! This is the best movie that I have seen in a long time and would go back to see it over and over again. Everyone can learn something from this movie and everyone should see it.

The Hero/Villain Gotham Deserves

Given all of the hype preceeding this movie, I woul d have to say that it lived up to all of the expectations and then some.
It is full of surprises, events which will leave you gasping and a performance by the late Heath Ledger worthy of an oscar nomination.
His performance was exceptional and the psychotic behavior of the Joker was truly unpredictable. Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman were no less than excellent.
