Kick Ass Delivers Surprises

I expected a goofy comedy and got a high energy action film that in a way rivaled Pulp Fiction, Spider Man and Kill Bill but with a teen perspective. You will find yourself cheering for more action and violence even though there is plenty. This film is not for young children because there is graphic although quick killing. The film has a nice balance of humor and action. Hit Girl is a HIT! Overall it is a must see if you like action and a good ride.

Robert Pattinson labored through this movie. His love interest was excellent but he was tedious to watch. Pattinson's roommate was obnoxious to watch and Pattinson's father was strange how he did not pay attention to his daughter. Lots of characters in the film some well developed but most were weak. The twist at the end seemed like a cheap way to pull at your emotions. Save your money and go see "Out of My League".

A great romantic comedy from a guys perspective. Some of the funniest scenes since "Something About Mary". I have recommended this movie to more people than any movie of late. The female lead is gorgeous but makes it believable to like Jay Baruchel. Jay's buddies in the movie offer great support and make it kind of a guys movie but females will laugh too. My first 5 star comedy. Funny and memorable.

Shutter Island disappoints

Shutter Island was a disappointment. The music was distractingly bad. Leo had a wrinkled forhead throughout the whole movie. The suporting acting was good. Martin S. may be past his prime for directing. Althought the movie had some interesting plot twists it was overall too long and had disturbing scenes that I regret seeing. I love most all movies but found this one a waste of my 2.5 hours.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
