I was hoping there would be more story to this and makes me think I should have chosen District 9 instead. I wouldn't watch or rent this movie.
The war scenes were realistic and the actor did the best he could with what he was given, in fact the actor was fantastic as he always is; However the rest of it was depraved and not in a good way. Plus the movie left so many plotholes blown wide open with no resolution in sight.
Seeing the previews I was reminded of a cross between Omega Man (with Arnold) and Death Race (the new one with Statham) but both of those movies were a lot better than this waste of potential and for that I blame the writers and directors, after all the actors can only do so much working with what they're given.

I loved the new Star Trek movie especially how they did the character development and plot. Seeing as how they made an AR (alternate reality) that frees things up to make more movies hopefully with much of the same cast. I'd like to see where it goes from there.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
