I have served in the Army for over 20 years with 3 tours overseas and I believe this movie was well executed. The plot changes actually helped the movie flow a little better than the original in my opinion and it kept me on the edge of my seat. Reality as it pertains realistic scenarios and situations was for the most part believable, although there were some scenes of almost super human feats, thats the Hollywood twist.
Still very well executed and I will definately watch it again and buy it on Blue Ray.
