Great action and it looked like everyone was having fun. At the same time this film has a strong political heart addressing issues of race an politics with a kung-fu punch. Or is that razor edge slice? Anyway, this is vintage Rodriquez in true form and there is even an ode to Desperado where Danny Trejo had a much different role. Have the tables turned? Nice to see that he can truly lead a film on his own.
Entertained the kids and they loved the addition of the Chipettes. From an adult perspective, we would have liked to see more interaction between the "boys" and "girls" as they were kept relatively separated from each other. Zachary Levi's character seemed not only shallow but had no real character development. While not as up to par with the original (this one seemed far more convoluted) it fulfilled its purpose.
