Story - 2 out of 5
Actiing - 4 out of 5 (they did good w/the strict they were given)
Effects - 4 out of 5 (I'd give it a 5 if the Enterprise wasn't designed so...UGLY)

So why a 3 out of 5? Well, it just didn't do it for me. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement.
I think the cast was great. I think the issue is the story. Perhaps, the only hope for this franchise is that Ronald Moore (STNG writer and producer) will agree to take on the next movie. Heck, look at Battlestar Galactica!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
