It could have been funny except that it was 30-45 minutes too long. Was an editor supplied for this big budget affair? I think not. Had some funny moments which were quickly outweighed by the length of the whole movie.

Great movie! Tom Hanks did a wonder job, the cinematography was superb and Ron Howard did a splendid job directing.
