A non-stop tightly paced, hilarious, mixed-media adventure. One of the best adaptations I've seen to date. Perfectly captures the tone and sentiment of the original material, and dare I say actually plusses it!
Casting is dead on, great performances throughout. Perfect balance of great comedy dialog and staging, with intense action battles. Some truly excellent stylized visual effects moments.
Just a wonderfully fun flick.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

snore fest followed by poo fest

the first 3/4 of the movie were not bad, just really boring. our entire group of people was practically nodding off. and then things took a turn for the worst.
that last quarter of the movie contained cheese moments one after another, strung together in a nonstop barrage of stink. tender moments became theatre wide laugh fests, exposition reached new lows of stupidity, and references to the previous movies became terrible groan inducing remixes.
go see star trek again instead of seeing this movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
