Mark Ruffalo plays an uber hip and opportunistic sperm donor who runs an organic farm coop and restaurant. He just happens to have two really great nearly-grown kids raised by a lesbian couple, adorably played by Annette Bening and Julianne Moore. The kids find Ruffalo and everyone struggles with his cloyingly easy-going demeanor.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
