Not disappointing at all. It has everything one wants out of a scary movie and more! The director & writer, Oren Peli, did a fantastic job at creating suspense. From writing to marketing, this movie is smart. It's refreshing to see a movie of this kind that doesn't stoop to unnecessary gore and laziness. Yes, there are times where you are hoping that boyfriend Micah gets attacked by whatever it is he's provoking, but that's part of it right? It's not a scary movie until you are yelling at the characters' stupidity. People will be talking about this movie for a while.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
