I love movies that make you smile, laugh and cry unabashedly. I took my four girls (ages 11 - 19yo) and my mom to see this movie on 07/19/08. I'm already a big fan of Meryl Streep, Colin Firth and Pierce Brosnan so I anticipated the acting would be top notch, and it was. Meryl was absolutely delightful as Donna (it just seemed to suit her) and Pierce Brosnan (though he isn't a great singer) was fantastic as Sam. I was lost in the story from the very beginning. The scenery was breathtaking, the music was beautiful and Donna's "friends" in the movie (Julie Walters & Christine Baranski) were absolutely hilarious.
I can't wait for the DVD, we are getting this one in Blu-ray!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
