Heath Ledger was awesome....the movie, not so much

I went to see this movie with great anticipation. It has made a lot of money and anyone and everyone says this movie is 'amazing'. Nope. Heath Ledger was a very entertaining Joker and I enjoyed him very much. Morgan Freeman I liked as well. The rest of the movie was like watching paint dry. It was very, very slow and involved way too much in the way of back story. And I don't understand why Christian Bale is suddenly talking like Clint Eastwood when he is wearing the Batman costume. It was very distracting.
I have been a fan of Batman for nearly 30 years. This movie was just okay. I liked Ironman better.

Another fine movie from the multi-talented Steve Carell. I laughed the whole way through.

Not what I expected

I am a fan of the show but it did not transpire well to the big screen. It was hokey,campy and there wasn't enough action. I was disappointed in the way it was adapted.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
