Very enjoyable! Saw this movie with my 11 year old daughter who was very excited and loved it. As a mom who's children have grown up on Pixar movies it has shown again that there is room for both adult and child humor. If you have teenagers who you are preparing for college don't be surprised if you tear up a little.
Movie was close to the book in many ways but was slow to develop similar to the book. Agree with other reviewer if you hadn't read the book somethings were missing.
The missing fight scene in the castle at the end compared to the book was a disappointment. Also the developing love interests could have been clearer. We also do not know from the movie that Harry tells Jenny they can't be together because he has to finish what he has started.
Adding 10 minutes for the fight and losing some other scenes would have made this a better movie.
HSM3 was very predictable. My daughter (9) enjoyed it greatly and was sitting on the edge of her seat. She loved all the music and commented that there was more songs in this show than the previous installments.
My husband and I kept commenting about how similar some scenes were to Grease and commented that it was this generations Grease with out the sexual overtones.
We also discussed how Disney has definitely set this up for the next installment with the new characters and some key actors being close at hand to East High to add that older element.
