Well-crafted comedy with a good undertone of serious emotion and struggle. Excellent performances from leads Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin. John Krasinski shines in his comic role as the son-in-law to be adding just the right touch of warmth and comedic reaction to the crazy situation.
Ending was a bit of a let-down. Perhaps it was intended to interject more realism to the situation, but it just missed working for me. The scene in the swing just wasn't believable after the strong emotions throughout.
Still, would definitely recommend it for females and couples as a funny, satisfying movie experience.
