I was very disapointed in this movie. It was supposedly the best since Poltergeist. I could see where it had a similar plot, but it was no Poltergest. I went with my son who is 35 and we looked at each other wondering if it was going any place or whether just to get up and leave. The music was too loud and there were several sudden scene changes, but that was about all there was to this movie. I saw one commit about do not waste your money going to this movie and I would have to agree. When Patirck Wilson threw the team out of the house I thought maybe something would actually happen to get our attention. At one point I though that maybe they are doing a farce of scary movies, but they were serious.
Liam Neeson's new movie is vey good, but I think " Taken" was a better movie for action. There were a number of instances where the character developed a conscience which was detrimental to his or her persona. The twist that occurred in the movie were unexpected with no foreshadowing. I think the actor who played the former East German Secret Police was very good in his role.
I think that this was better than most movies of this type. There was a plot and and a viable story line. I thought it was better than the 2nd Lieutenant that is the last movie that I saw Cage in. I hope to rent it when it goes to video. Fun entertaining not to frightening good special effects.
This is an excellent movie and will give "The King's Speech" a great battle at the Oscars. Great interesting characters Great dialogue Great Scenery. Just a great movie. Not for the faint of heart though. Jeff Bridges is on a roll
I do not know if Mark Wahlberg looks for this type of movie to make, but ever since the Philadelphia Eagles story he seems to find these stories. The relationships between the characters seems real. It is a fun movie and the action is paced very well. It is very enjoyable While the mother is unbelieveable, all of the girls are still sitting at home and it is easy to understand why they are all single. The learning curve of the older brother is sort of expected, but it lends some belief that he can reform from the crack and beer drinking slob he was. at the beginning. Maybe his son will have a chance of a good life. What can you say about Amy Adams that has not been said. She is a force in her own rite and Marks character knows that he can not loose her or his brother. Almost as good as the "The King's Speech"
If you are looking for a moral in the story you are at the wrong movie. Action almost continuously either drama or physical assault from water boarding to fire fights. The relationship between the dictator and his daughter is not convincing. The interplay between the characters was good. Jason Statham was very good in his part, Sylvester and the rest of the characters were okay. rourke was better than the others his character was a little more developed. Jet Li finally came thru in the last scenes. Of course none of our heroes are injured in the big fight scene? Sequel maybe
The A-team is a fun action packed testosterone indusing adventure. Neeson is excellent in this role. Of course, the the movie does not have the emotional involvement of "Taken", but he fill this role completely without any if only.. Hopefully the next movie in the series will meet or even exceed this one maybe with a unique plot line.
I have not read the books, but on the other hand I did not read Harry Potter either.I think that I good movie should be ablt to stand on its own merit. I think that it was entetrtaining and had good action segments. I heard a lot of 12-17- year girls sigh and giggle so I know that they appreciated the movie. There was some humor which is always good in a movie. I think that it was worth the money and I am sure that it will return the investment. the movie had a good flow to it and was well paced. It was also easy to follow. You did not have to see theother movies to understand what was going on even though I did see them..
Hoping for the best and we were not disappointed. Excellent movie with sublle twist and turns and surprises. Characterizations which almost made andy's toys seem real. There always seemed to be a surprise along the way.
