Clooney is getting better as time goes on...this movie continues to demonstrate how skilled he is at the subtleties of human emotion and expression. Vera Farmiga succeeds in portraying an ethically complex character. Anna Kendrick is delightful. A bit predictable plot-wise in many scenes, but performances far outweigh that little weakness.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Disturbing and Intriguing...

The actors perfomed well, the story kept me interested. I enjoyed the documentary footage along with the dramatization--the movie left me wanting more information and feeling very disturbed at the end. Lots of questions unanswered. I am glad that I saw it.
I at first was not going to see this film due to the absurd previews, but Sandra Bullock drew me in. I was amazed at the meaningful twists that the film took and the sensitive portrayals of the "weird", perhaps gifted autistic adults, and the comedy that made laugh out loud several times. Amazingly touching and something I'd want my nieces to see.
i've not read the book, but watching the films had me informed enough to enjoy it. The performances were very good. The teenage romance material was good relief from the darkness of what was happening in the major plot. It ended too quickly (yes, even after 2 and a half hours); it felt abrupt. I think I will read the book now to fill in details.
