I had read all seven books and seen all the movies to date. The first was the best but the last one has finally cemented them all together. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The way the book was written, the kids start out young and each year get older. The stars did the same which made it very real. The action was non-stop. Yes, there were sad moments but a great outcome nevertheless. All the past stars were in this movie which made it even better. I highly recommend it to anyone who has at least seen a few of these movies or read some of the books. I don't think if you go for the very first time that you will understand what is going on. Some understanding is lost, too, if you haven't read the book itself, but it's absolutely enjoyable. I, for one, am actually happy it's finally over. It took too long to get here, though. I could have died before the last movie was made and shown!
Wow! What a great movie for everybody. I always love Sandra Bullock and she didn't disappointment again. Hope she wins something for her portral of the mom. I, also, enjoyed the comedy that was included. What a wonderful true story with a happy ending. I was happy that the real Michael and his family were shown at the end. I listened to an interview with him on television the next day and like he said, the writers did take some liberty about him and his personality. He really did know more about football at the high school level than the story showed. At any rate, I highly recommend it and will most likely buy it when it comes out on DVD, too.
I waited a long time for this movie and was not disappointed. It was long but held my interest throughout the entire time. Excellent effects. It definitely is not a movie for young children, however. I enjoyed the young love portions but Jenny needs to learn how to act better. The rest of movie was fantastic. It'd been so long since I actually read the book, I didn't remember parts but by the end, I was brought back up to date. I am glad now that the last book was split into two separate movies as one would have been too long requiring parts to be cut. It's dark but happy, too. I am already looking forward to the last movie!
The movie was long but kept my attention the entire time. It was packed full of suspense and was very exciting. I had read the book some time ago so didn't initially remember everything but as the movie evolved, it came back to me and it tended to follow most of the book's story line. The ending, however, did surprise me since I had forgotten who the culprit really was and, also, who became Pope. That did change from the book. I still loved it and would watch it again.
It's been years since I saw a version of this movie so did not have any expectations. My friend and I went to the 3-D showing and it was just amazing. It captured my attention from the beginning through the end. The scenery was fantastic and I enjoyed the young boy's comedic reactions. Of course, the plot itself seems somewhat bizzar and unbelievable but it didn't matter. Enjoyed it all. Loved the speed with which it moved and the final outcome. I would suspect that the 3-D version is better than the regular. Good cast, too.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It stood on its own merits and doesn't need to be compared to the first release. The characters were fun and I enjoyed Caspian. The fight scene, however, did seem to remind me of Lord of the Rings' battles. It depicts how we still need to believe in order to see God. I recommend this movie for everyone. I already look forward to seeing the next movie of Narnia. I enjoyed reading the books and am now enjoying the movies.
