As with the past Shrek movies, this one also offered a combination of family and adult fun! Went with our daughter, son-in-law and 9 year old grandson, and we all had a great time! If you liked the first 2 Shrek movies, by all means see this one as well. The first is my favorite of the 3, but all were entertaining. Just remember that, if you choose the regular showing vs. the 3D, there will most likely be lots of children. So adults, either see the 3D version or a later showing if the kids bother you.
My husband I went together - good married couples date movie. Not the funniest movie we have ever seen, but definitely some really good laughs. At least we didn't feel like we wasted 2 hours of our time, which we have at some other movies. Vince Vaughn was funny, true, but we thought that all of the actors contributed to the movie - even though we are not huge fans of a few of the actors, the cast was a great pick. Go see this movie for some good laughs.
The movie went in a whole different direction than you are lead to believe from the trailer. It started out pretty funny, but then got a little more serious. Unfortunately, and this has nothing to do with the quality of the movie, much of the facts regarding the surrogacy were completely far-fetched. But it was fine for a few good laughs. I would recommend it as a rental, but not necessarily at the theater.
This was my first opera experience; I wanted to attend this type of showing so that I could decide if I wanted to see a live version. I absolutely loved it! I will probably attend a live opera eventually, but I will definitely see all of the showings at the theater. I feel the same way about this experience that I do watching football on TV - you get a much better visual this way, so you get to be close to all of the action. Being in the live audience, one would miss some of the expressions which really helped understand the story.
