I was expecting greatness based off of the previews I had seen. I was greatly disappointed. Johnny Depp put on an amazing show, but the characters were hard to get attached to and the movie was too long and quite frankly, a little boring. It did have some amazing scenes and the camera work was interesting (mostly handheld), but this isn't the best of year.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I am not one to like chick flicks, but I will admit that on the scale of chick flicks this is one of the better ones. The transition interviews were hilarious and the sound track was stellar. There were definitely funny parts, but when it comes down to it, the movie was ultimately very predictable, in true chick flick fashion. If you are a fan of chick flicks then this movie is for you, if not, you will be entertained but ultimately left unfulfilled.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
