I sent 4 older teens to this movie and they loved it. Lots of action, not too much romance, and good lines.

It is so nice to watch a movie that has a script, an intellectual position, and a story to tell. I have no idea why Scorcese bothered with 3D as it doesn't add anything to the movie. Still, one of the best movies I have seen this year.

We read all the books with our son and have watched the movies together. It was a good family activity.
This movie is for fans who understand what is going on. It would be very confusing to someone being exposed to the story previously.
I loved the dance sequence in the tent -- not in the book, but definitely expressed the emotional connections and vulnerability of the characters.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
