Very fulfilling conclusion to an excellent franchise!
Surpringly, I only cried a lot when Snape died.

Although Director Yates was forced to paraphrase and adapt the story he portrayed on the screen, the essentials of Ms. Rowling's story are there. The "snogging, etc." romantic stuff, although not central to the books story is important in the overall story, so it cannot be said that it was not a needed part of the movie. I must assume that some of the material left out of the movie I saw yesterday, is being saved for the two upcoming movies that will complete the franchise.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
